Were Holiday Sales A Bit Sluggish Last Year
You can blame the economy for sluggish sales again this year or you can do something to attract the shoppers to your location. Did you like going out to look at Christmas decoration when you were a child? Have you carried on the tradition with your family? We like looking at holiday decorations. Otherwise holiday decorations wouldn't be a multi-billion dollar industry. Do your customers know what your Christmas decorations will look like, because you do the same thing every year? If so they may not even register with your customers anymore. Are they still talking about your decorations the next month? Do they even talk about them while they are in the store?
Give your customers a reason to come to your business this holiday season. You're going to decorate for the holidays, let us create a holiday atmosphere that causes your customers to text or call family, friends, and neighbors. Instead of the same old Christmas decorations, try something different, balloon sculptures. How about a giant balloon Christmas tree? A Santa's village? Nutcrackers? Giant Snowmen? Ornaments? Snowflakes? Fireplace? Wreaths? You can completely change the decorations you use every year or start by replacing one piece or section. We can design your holiday decor to enchant your customers for the entire holiday season and leave them wondering what will you do next year.

How We Can Help Your Business
Balloons tied to a sign or mailbox tell people passing by, "Hey, there something special happening here." A balloon arch on a sidewalk downtown tell people going by, "Hey, there's a new business or something going on over there." But how many people today really have time to stop and find out what is happening?
And have you ever heard a conversation about an arch sighting a few days later? It goes something like this, Mary asks Sue at lunch the next day, "Did you see that arch downtown yesterday?"
Sue replies, "No. I didn't go downtown yesterday. What was it for?"
Mary answers, "I don't really know I didn't have time to stop. Pass the salt, please."
However, if we think a little more creatively we can convey a much more specific message in the time it takes a car to drive by your shop. Say you're opening a dance studio, a giant ballerina sculpture made from balloons out front not only says, "Hey, come and look at me." But also says, "A business associated with dance is over there and something big must be happening. You don't want to miss this."
The conversation then changes. Mary is having lunch with Sue again. She asks, "Did you see that giant ballerina downtown yesterday?"
Sue answers, "I didn't get downtown yesterday, but I saw it on the news. Did you see it?"
Mary replies, "I couldn't miss it. I had Addison with me so we had to stop. Sally's Dance Studio had it out front for there grand opening."
Sue says, "I wish you would have called me. I'd love to seen Addison's face. I know she loves ballerinas."
Mary says, "The next time I see a 10' ballerina I'll be sure to call you right away. I signed Addison up for a class on Tuesdays. You should enroll Colleen."
The waitress, who has just set there lunch in front of them asks, "Did you see that ballerina in front of Sally's?"
"Did everyone see it but me?" Sue asks.
"I didn't get to see it in person," says the waitress, "but it was on the front cover of the local paper today. My little girl now wants to be a ballerina. Decaf or regular?"
A balloon sculpture that draws attention and represents your business is not a decoration. It's a marketing and advertising tool. By it's self it will generate "word of mouth" advertising. Add a few press releases, well placed phone calls, and proper marketing campaign and you could have a media event on your hands.

Happy Sweet 16

Approximately 500 balloons were use to create a fiesta style atmosphere for this birthday celebration. The colors chosen were those of a southwestern sunset. Matching the turquoise blue color to a balloon was simple, the balloons actually come in that color. Matching the amber color called for stuffing one color balloon inside another color balloon. So even if the balloons don't come in a color you've chosen, sometimes we can mix balloons and still get the result you want.

Mrs. Mouse Balloon Sculptures with a Candy Dish
This mouse balloon sculpture was delivered to a funeral home. The grandchildren sent it in memory of their beloved grandmother. Some people my think it unusual at first, but why? People often share fond memories of the departed when gathered for such an event. I know as people see this mouse they will be reminded of a story about that grandmother and will share it with others. Flowers are nice, but a dozen roses won't bring back many memories, unless of course the grandmother loved roses and they were a part of her life. I don't know why the grandmother loved a certain mouse, but I bet there are some fond memories involved. Wish I had thought to make a penguin balloon sculpture when my granny died, she had a thing for penguins. Our condolences to the family and friends of the grandmother who passed. We hope this mouse added a few extra smiles and laughs mixed in with your grief and remembrances.

For the Budget Minded Bride

Just a couple more views of the wedding we did at A Learning Place in Piqua, OH this past weekend. Simple balloon bouquets for each table, a Link-O-Loon entry arch, balloons for the head table and a 24' backdrop behind the head table. Budget minded? Aren't we all? If you're thinking thousands, you're way over. But the memories and impact to the photographs taken that day were priceless to the bride & groom and their families.
Wedding Head Table With & Without a Backdrop

We work with our brides to help them create the look they want. In the top picture you see what the head table look like when we arrived. Someone had already started the decorating. The bottom picture shows how it looked when we were finished. We added a backdrop and 5 simple balloons to turn this head table into center stage for our bride & groom and their wedding party.

Brady the Wedding Dog
We often get asked to make a Bride and Groom for weddings, however this Bride wanted to
surprise her Groom with a life size version of their black lab, Brady. The mother and father of the bride were pleased, even when the balloon Groom dropped his hand and the balloon Brady. The Mother of the bride insisted we leave it like that as it was more like real life. She even pointed out a picture with the three of them in it to prove her point. You guessed it the future groom had his arm around the dog instead of his fiancee. The father of the bride pointed out that if we just got our Brady wet and put a water bowl in front of him he'd look just like the real Brady did the day before. We're just happy they like what job we did and wish them years of happiness together. They have a sense of humor so they're off to a good start.

When we get really busy at Balloon Creations & Gifts, LLC our families pitch in and lend a helping hand. Thanks to Michaela Strelow's very talented fingers we were able to finish up about 4 hours earlier on Friday. We also discovered a budding balloon artist in the family.

Long Stem Roses

We have two different styles of long stem roses made from balloons. A seven petal long stem rose (pictured bottom right) and a twelve petal long stem rose (pictured top right). A client recently purchased a 12 petal long stem rose for his wife. We're told she put it in a vase on her desk and was repeated asked if it was one of those dipped roses. Tina Alt is the talented artist behind these beautiful flowers.
