2009 Prom Giveaway Winner

Sidney High School was this years winner of our Prom Giveaway.  The theme of the prom - Midnight Masquerade.  We thoroughly enjoyed working with the students and staff at Sidney High School.  The students were eager to learn and help.  One of the first things they discovered - working with balloons isn't as easy at is looks.

A first baseman said his coach would never believe his arm was too sore to play ball because he worked with balloons all day.  Not to worry, we gave him a break the second half of the day and he was still able to play ball.

We started work on Thursday morning at the school.  After a few instructions on how to work our equipment and tie balloons we were ready to go.  We inflated and bagged more than 1500 balloons at the school, as well as made the centerpieces for the tables.

Friday morning we transported centerpieces & balloons by a caravan of mini-vans, suvs, and cars to Shelby Oaks Country Club where we inflated even more balloons.  The Students were able to assemble most of the pieces themselves with just a bit of instruction.   They were able to see how their hard work had paid off.  

Saturday morning while the students were getting ready for their big night the staff from Balloon Creations & Gifts, LLC put the finishing touches on their prom.  By the end we estimated that we had used over 2000 balloons.  At midnight staff came back and what had taken more than a 20 people, 2 and a 1/2 days to make; took just a hand full of people less than an hour to take down.

Ruffles Appearing At Buffalo Wild Wings

Ruffles the Clown will be appearing at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Sidney, OH tonight (April 22, 2009) from 6 p m - 7 p m.  Ruffles will amaze you with her balloon art twisting abilities. If you ask she'll baffle you with her magic feet (no, that's feats of clown magic).  She'll simple astound you with her knowledge of  jokes only a three year old could truly appreciate.

Daffodils

There's an unsuspecting daughter-in-law who will open her door in Indiana sometime today to a UPS delivery with these daffodils wishing her a continued speedy recovery.  Her Mother-in-law wanted to send something a little different, not just the average get well gift.

Scout Pack 44

Giggles and Ruffles were invited to Minster Middle School to meet Scout pack 44.  Everyone had a great time.  The Clowns preformed a magic show and afterward the Scouts taught the clowns a few jokes.

Free Prom Giveaway

In 2008 Ft. Loramie High School was the winner of our Prom Giveaway.    Their chosen theme; Candy Land.  The staff at Balloon Creations & Gifts had a wonderful time working with the students to create the prom they wanted.  This year, although not the winner of our 2009 prom giveaway, they invited us back to help enhance their prom.  Once again the staff from Balloon Creations & Gifts had a great time working with the students.  Their chosen theme; Rock and Roll.  It was almost of a Sock Hop theme with a dive in movie theater on one side and a drive in diner on the other.  Our piece was an Ice Cream Soda entrance arch.
